Zander Knodt is a New York City-based jazz pianist and composer who blends jazz with classical and contemporary influences. He attended the Manhattan School of Music and had the privilege of learning from legendary musicians Phil Markowitz, Rogerio Boccato, Jeremy Manasia, and Jaleel Shaw.
In 2022, Zander won a YoungArts award for jazz piano performance. 
Zander has performed at notable venues in NYC such as The Campbell, Klavierhaus, BLU Jazz, and Silvana’s, and in the Seattle area at The Royal Room, Egan's Ballard Jam House, Seattle Drum School of Music, Seattle Jazz Fellowship, and Vashon Center for the Arts.  
Zander grew up on Vashon Island Washington (near Seattle), where he started playing classical piano at the age of 7 and later jazz at 15. 
Currently Zander is taking lessons from Fred Hersch, composing, and playing in clubs/venues and special events in the U.S., with his sights on Europe and beyond.
